The training message is getting out to Section Leaders that we are here to help you progress through your Wood Badge award. The Area Training Team are regularly meeting with leaders to validate modules or offer advice on moving forward. We are visiting leaders following their Section meetings and also attending District, Area and National events. The most recent meetings were held at the All Wales Scout Camp, where Claire Shires joined other leaders from around Wales and successfully completed her Wood Badge as an Assistant Scout Leader.
So join us at an informal Open Training evening, especially if you are currently in University and approaching close down for the summer holidays. Don't let the enthusiasm slip, it's hard to get it going again after a lengthy delay. If you can't make the Open Evenings, please contact Lynn Thompson (Area Training Manager) or Denis Hunt (Area Training Administrator) and we will attempt to meet you at a mutually convenient time.
