100 Cubs from Across East and South of Cardiff Camping [News]

There were almost 100 Cubs from over a dozen Groups from across Cardiff. Throughout the weekend the young people took part in archery, an assault course, slack lining, face painting, Welsh cake cooking, fire lighting, circus skills and much more.
Volunteer leaders ran the event from a range of Groups across Cardiff and it took around 30 adults to provide the adventure. The catering was all managed by 3 young leaders (14 - 18 year olds) who did a magnificent job.
Xander, a Cub from Canton, said "I had such a fantastic time - I tried loads of really cool stuff I've never done before. Being in Cubs is so cool and I got to tell all my school friends about the adventures we had. They were so jealous!"
Jonathan Evans, an adult volunteer from St Mellons, said, "This is the first big event I've helped with and it was amazing! Volunteering with the Cubs is such a great challenge to keep them happy all weekend. I've already got a great set of skills, which help me at work too. It's hard work but seeing all those smiling faces makes it worthwhile!"
Mike Preston another adult volunteer said, “The weather couldn’t have been better for us and the weekend was a great success. The young people enjoyed themselves, in the mud and the sun. The variety of activities meant everyone could try something new and the food was superb.”
