Nsra Yps and Master at Arms Course

Target Shooting is one of the most popular and safest of all sports in the world. It is a sport that offers competition for all ages ranging from 10 up to 80. It is conducted under a safe and controlled environment .
The course runs over 8 weeks and on completion will allow scout and explorers to earn their Master at Arms Physical Recreation Badge and possibly another badge and an NSRA Certificate of attendance. This course can be Duke of Edinburgh Award accredited under D of E Physical Recreation having completed a further 4 weeks shooting.
During the course you will have the opportunity to learn the following 9 modules .
1. The Law and safety while, loading and aiming and shooting at your targets .
2. Which is your dominant eye ? how to use the sights and aim correctly .
3. Breathing , trigger control, and following through the shot .
4. Sight adjustment , Spotting the shot and scoring targets .
5. Learn the three positions for competition shooting known as the 3Ps .
6. Improve the three positions.
7. Putting it all together – coaching session
8. Proficiency test of 10 questions ( requires 8 correct answers )
