The Scout Network is the section for all 18-25 year olds within the association. All members of the Scout Association between the ages of 18-25 automatically become members. Members decide how active and involved they want to be, flexibility is the key.
The Network is run by the members for the members. In the CATVOG Area as well as the Commissioner, there are three warranted Leaders and an Administrator to assist in the running of the Network. As a member of the Scout Network you could be:
A member of a local Network
A Leader with another Section
A Helper or Skills Instructor
A member of the Area Scout Fellowship.
A member in another capacity, for example through SSAGO
As a member there is the opportunity to achieve the Queens Scout Award and the Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s award as well as the Group Awards.
The Network programme reflects the huge variation in Members' interests and is based around the programme zones also used by other sections. Members receive regular updates of the programme through our mailing list.
The current programme, together with all the information you need about us (including how to join), can be found on our website http://network.catvog.org.
Ian Roche finished as Area Scout Network Comissioner (ASNC) in June 2006. If you need any information concerning the Scout Network Section, or would like some information about the role of ASNC, please email us.
