East and South, is what is says on the badge, its the east and south of the city. We are working hard to bring the three element of the district together, establishing it own identity.
We are looking to plan more district activates and establish some new traditions for the district. We have an annual district Fete which is held in Victoria Park each June.

District Commissioner - Kay Holmes
I started Scouting as a Venture Scout in Buccaneer VSU, Cardiff East District in 1982 where I gained my Queens Scout Award in December 1985. Moving away form the Area in 1986 I took up the role of Assistant Cub Scout Leader with the 1st New Forest North group.
I returned to Scouting in CATVOG with the 2nd/4th Barry Scout Troop as leader in April 1990, a position I held for just over 12 years. September 2002 saw me move to Cardiff South East District where I became ADC Scouts until the merger of the three Districts to East and South. I also became Young Leaders Unit Leader at that time and continue to the present day in this role.
With the merger of the three Districts into East and South I was asked to become one of the Deputy District Commissioners of the new super District. At the end of December 2005 I took over as District Commissioner for East and South.
Deputy District Commissioner - Steve Barkley
Steve began as a cub leader in 1976, and then moved on to ADC leader Training in 1989. He continued with this until he became DC for Terra Nova.
When east and south was formed he then moved to being DDC, in the new district. Steve continues to develop the role of DDC, is out and about supporting groups on the ground. He still helps out with leader training which he really enjoys.
International Experience Fund
East and South International Experience fund is for all Groups, Sections and Members within East and South District. The Fund is run and managed by the District Executive committee. The fund is for any international Event, Programme item or Trip. The Executive committee will decide on each application by it own merit.
