CATVOG are again leading the rest of Welsh Scouting, By launching the new Health Challenge Wales Award. A joint initiative with the Welsh Assembly, the purpose of the award is to encourage participation in the parts of our programme that link in with six key areas.

These are: Helping people not to start smoking or to quit, Helping people eat better and do more exercise, Helping people to avoid accidents and injuries, Helping people to avoid drug and alcohol misuse, Helping people to avoid infections and Helping people to be happy.

The actual award is available to all sections from Beavers to Network, and there is no cost to participating, section leaders simply need to apply for the awards once a section member has completed the relevant activities to qualify. Each section has a set of requirements and a unique badge, tailored to the programme relevant to that age group, full details and supporting documentation will be given to you at our launch.

The scheme is free to participate in, all of the literature, posters, badges and anything else you need is sponsored by the Welsh Assembly, so there is no cost to you, your section or your section members.
